Family tradition
This project is about the traditional pig slaughter in small villages in Spain. It was very interesting how the whole family participated in the process for a weekend. It is a hard spectacle to watch but it is also a good example of how rural life was decades ago, when having the good fortune to raise a pig could guarantee food for the following year. These pictures were my second and last approach to photo report, as it is not one of my favourite fields of photography. This portfolio was photographed in Calera y Chozas, Toledo (Spain) in the winter of 2002.
