Now shooting “La Terra negra”, directed by Alberto Morais and produced by Olivo Films. Five weeks on several locations around Valencia.

With Laia Marull, Sergi López, Abdelatif Hwidar and Andrés Gertrudix playing the leading roles.

I shot my last feature film last October, 2021. This project is called “BOREAL” and was directed by Pelayo Muñiz. A story with only four characters starring Raúl Tejón, Laura Barba, Denis Gómez and Isabel Rodes.

We expect to show this work very soon and hope you like the movie.

"WHITE BALANCE" - collective exhibition

I will be part of “WHITE BALANCE”, a collective exhibition of RSF members. A selection of photographs from my project “TRAVEL NOTES” will be part of it.

"DÉJAME HABLAR" a short documentary film in La Biennale di Venezia (2020)

"Déjame hablar", directed by Samuel Alarcón, is a short documentary film I shot about LUIS DE PABLO (Bilbao, 1930), a Spanish composer.

I am really happy to announce that it has been included in the 64th International Festival of Contemporary Music - La Biennale di Venezia (2020) and it will be shown before the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement Award Ceremony to Luis de Pablo.

"TRAVEL NOTES" Photographic exhibition (2005 - 2019)

My photographic project "TRAVEL NOTES" will be exhibited once again. It will be in Coslada (Madrid) from October 2, 2020 to October 27, 2020. It will take place at Nuevo Teatro Coslada (Av. Príncipes de España, 2, Coslada - Madrid).

The first time this exhibition was held consisted of 30 photographs in black and white taken in several trips to some countries of the world between 2005 - 2016. Now, five new photographs are added for a total of 35, all taken between 2005-2019.

This is an analogue project from the negative in camera to gelatin silver prints, which were printed by Juan Manuel Castro Prieto.

"EL NIÑO DIOS" - FEATURE FILM

I have just finished six weeks shooting “El Niño Dios”, a feature film directed by Mexican director Ignacio Ortiz Cruz and produced by Beverly Hills Entertainment.

In the technical side, I have shot with two Arri Alexa Mini and Leica Summilux C.

"OSCURO Y LUCIENTES" - WORLD PREMIERE

“OSCURO Y LUCIENTES” world premiere will take place at the 15º Sevilla Film Festival.

This feature documentary was created and directed by Samuel Alarcón, with cinematography by Roberto San Eugenio, AEC. It was produced by Tourmalet Films in coproduction with TVE and Marmita Films.

Synopsis: Goya’s body lay forgotten in a pantheon in Bordeaux. Decades later, those attending its exhumation were greatly surprised: his head had been stolen.

"NOSOTROS" - RELEASE

After a nice trip in Festivals around the world (you can check it here) "NOSOTROS" came out last september 2018. The film has already been commercially released in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Cádiz and Majadahonda, and it is expected to be in some other spanish cities during next months.

This film was directed by Felipe Vara de Rey and produced by DeVerbena, Vermut Films, Furiosa Films and NYLON.

Synopsis: A group of 5 friends meet during the weekend of the Spanish presidential election in December 2015 – a crucial moment for the country and in the lives of the friends. They have to make a decision that could shake the foundations of their existence.

JURY AT THE "SALÓN INTERNACIONAL DE LA LUZ 2018" FILM FESTIVAL

I have recently been part of the jury at the "SALÓN INTERNACIONAL DE LA LUZ 2018", a film festival set in Bogotá, Colombia.

"OSCURO Y LUCIENTES" - FEATURE DOCUMENTARY FILM

"OSCURO Y LUCIENTES" kept me on the road all along July. This project is created and directed by Samuel Alarcón, and produced by Tourmalet Films in coproduction with TVE and Marmita Films.

It is about Goya but from a different point of view. Goya's body remained forgotten in a pantheon in Bordeaux. Decades later, everyone present at the exhumation was greatly surprised: Goya’s skull was missing.

I am glad to have been part of this documentary and I hope we can show the result as soon as possible.

RSF Collective Exhibition

The RSF (Real Sociedad Fotográfica) organizes another collective photography exhibition. It will take place this time at CENTRO CULTURAL ANICETO MARINAS (Calle del Campo, 21. Brunete, Madrid) and will be open at 7:30pm on June 8, 2017.

This exhibition consists of 40 photographs by 40 different photographers, all of them members of the RSF. My contribution is the image below.

New member of the SPANISH SOCIETY OF CINEMATOGRAPHERS - AEC

I am officially a new member of the SPANISH SOCIETY OF CINEMATOGRAPHERS (AEC). From now on, I will sign all my works as ROBERTO SAN EUGENIO, AEC.

ENTREFOTOS XVIII (2016) - PHOTOGRAPHY FAIR

Second consecutive year that I am selected to show my photographs in ENTREFOTOS, a photography fair in Madrid (Spain), thanks to my two main projects: Travel Notes (BW) and Unreal Reality (color).

Both projects follow an analogue process until the final print. You can watch some of these prints at the fair or the whole projects on this website.

Best Cinematography - XVII International Fantastic Film Festival Costa del Sol (2016)

Last september I was awarded "BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY" at the XVII International Fantastic Film Festival Costa del Sol (2016) thanks to my work in "LA AMA".

"La Ama" is a low budget feature film directed by Arantza Ibarra and Luisje Moyano that was commercially released in september 2016.

"TRAVEL NOTES". EXHIBITION IN MADRID.

My photographic project "TRAVEL NOTES" will be exhibited in Madrid from October 20, 2016 to November 12, 2016. It will take place at Real Sociedad Fotográfica (C/ Tres Peces, 2).

"NOSOTROS", final stage.

"NOSOTROS" (Dir. Felipe Vara de Rey), my third feature film as DoP (credit shared with DoP Fede Cesca), is in its final stage. Grading with Susana Muniain is done and we are about to make the final DCP.
